OUR APPROACHES

EDUCATION INSPIRED BY WALDORF PEDAGOGY

With labor in education, we want to contribute to improve educational quality, for this we use Waldorf pedagogy, which is designed to promote comprehensive education and has a humanistic conception.

Strategies provided by Waldorf pedagogy, help to develop the senses, perceive, observe, feel and experience their environment. All the activities carried out at Waldorf are "first-hand" experiences, in addition the development of self-esteem, creativity, freedom, respect for their environment, human values, bear fruit in a responsible human being committed to the needs of the world.

 

EDUCATION IN ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

The ecological approach and method of Waldorf Pedagogy helps us establish a relationship of harmony with nature. Biogardens are a strategy for adaptation to climate change, since it is related to providing actions against unsafety food, risk of hunger, increased levels of malnutrition, as well as the loss of good agricultural practices and reduced production due to extreme climate variability of heat and cold.

 

SAFETY FOOD EDUCATION

Access to a healthy life is a fundamental right of every person, to have quality of life. Also, guarantee sufficient, safe and nutritious food to cover nutritional needs and for a healthy and active life.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Biogardens are sustainable since they will be installed on the farms of the beneficiary families. intervention includes working with adults and children, since the work in biogardens are carried out at the family level, therefore, it contemplates working on training intergenerationally, ensuring the transmission of knowledge about biogardens, properties and uses of different local species.

Children's rights

Promote the inclusion and effective compliance with the concepts and principles of protection and defense of children's rights.

 

Gender equality

The project aims to improve the access of women and men to the benefits of the project, in the installation and management of biogardens.

 

Interculturality

Respect for cultural diversity and the Andean Cosmovision is taken into account. Traditional and ancestral knowledge is valued as well as scientific knowledge. Technical concepts are culturally adapted based on examples and local names for a better understanding of the contents of all the parties involved.

Community participation

Promote identification, training with environmental problems and protect our traditional knowledge.
